VAAN, in partnership with InTouch, invites Afghan community leaders, faith-based organisations, and mentors in Victoria to take part in a three-part Family Violence Bystander Leadership Training program.
This training is designed to help participants recognise early warning signs of family violence, understand coercive control and unhealthy relationship behaviours, respond in safe and supportive ways, and connect individuals with appropriate support services.
The program is open to both male and female Afghan community leaders and aims to strengthen community-led awareness, prevention, and support.
NOTE: Participants who complete all three sessions will receive a Certificate of Completion.
VAAN welcomes families, community members, local organisations, leaders, and supporters to attend this special event and celebrate Afghan New Year together.
